How do I install my fan on an angled ceiling?
In order to install your ceiling fan on an angled ceiling, you will need to purchase our ceiling fans that include down rods of varying lengths. Depending on the angle of the ceiling and your fan type, you may also need an angled ceiling mount adapter.
*First, make sure your ceiling fan can be installed on angled ceilings.
*Angled Ceilings that have a 17.5 degree angle will need an angled ceiling mount; this replaces your current canopy. The angled ceiling mounts can only be used if you have a sofucor’s ceiling fan. You cannot install a remote control in an angled ceiling mount because of the tight spacing in the ceiling bracket. Please contact our CS team if you have no idea about the proper accessory purchase.
*The SCA-P (Slope Ceiling Adapter, Paintable) gives you that extra spacing between your fan and sloped ceiling to install the remote control receiver. Note: some of Sofucor’s ceiling fans have pre-installed receivers, while some else cannot be installed using an SCA-P, we recommend you aking first before your purchase, our online service will glad to hear from you.
*An extension downrod is needed when installing your ceiling fan on a sloped ceiling. When choosing your downrod length, keep in mind that your ceiling fan needs to be 30 inches away from the wall and other objects and the fan blades must be 7 feet or more from the floor.
*If your angled ceiling is steeper than 56 degrees, contact a contractor to help get your SCA-P custom made. Do not forget to verify your fan’s electrical box is approved for ceiling fan use.
How to choose the right ceiling fan?
1. Choose a location for your fan.
Location is important when selecting the size and design of ceiling fan for your room.
Indoors
○ An indoor fan, which is sometimes referred to as a dry-rated, fan makes an ideal fit for a living room or bedroom.
Outdoors
○ When choosing a ceiling fan for an outdoor space, select a model that satisfies the requirements of Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
Many of Sofucors' fans can be used both indoors and outdoors, but be aware that some fans can only be used indoors.
2. Choose the right ceiling fan size
The diameter of the room affects how much air a ceiling fan circulates. Fans with bigger diameters are needed in larger rooms, and smaller spaces call for smaller fans.
Small
Rooms that are no more than 8' x 10' should have ceiling fan sizes between 21" and 40" in diameter. Small rooms include dens and kitchen nooks.
Medium
If your room is up to 12' x 14', stick with a fan that is 42" - 54" in diameter. Medium rooms include bedrooms and dining rooms.
Large
A room that is up to 18' x 20' should feature ceiling fan sizes 52" - 60" in diameter. This includes family rooms and large bedrooms.

○ This mount type has the ceiling fan connected directly to the ceiling. We recommend a flush mount if your ceiling is under 8' high.

Product Questions
What speed does the fan have?
Our fan has a six speed wind speed.
What is a Low Profile Ceiling/Flush Mount Fan?
If your ceiling height is under 8’, you will need a low-profile or Flush Mount fan. This kind of fan mounts directly to a ceiling bracket that is fastened to the ceiling rather than using a downrod.
Sofucor's flush-mount ceiling fans are specifically designed to be mounted close to the ceiling, with minimal distance between the fan blades and the ceiling surface, contributing to space-saving, noise reduction, and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
What downrod length should I purchase for my fan?
A downrod mount is an extensible and long pole that connects the fan to the ceiling. It is advised to utilize a downrod to improve the functioning of your fan if the height of your ceiling permits. The downrods of 5''/10''/24'' can often be seen in our ceiling fans.
Choosing The Right Size Downrod:
*You can calculate the downrod length you need throgh a simple equation: Ceiling height (in feet) minus 9' (includes the fan height) = Downrod length
Tip:To maximize the fan's effectiveness, it is generally recommended to place your ceiling fan between 8'' and 9'' above the floor.
*If your ceiling is less 9' high, you will need a less 12'' downrods to ensure the fan is positioned at the proper height.
*If your ceiling is 10' high, you will need a less 12''-18''downrods to ensure the fan is positioned at the proper height.
*If your ceiling is 11' high, you will need a 18''-24''downrods to ensure the fan is positioned at the proper height.
My ceiling fan came without a light fixture. Can I add one?
Our ceiling fan without lights do not support the addition of light fixture currently. You can go to our collection of Ceiling Fans With Lights to find the products you want.
Will a ceiling fan help me save money?
*Let's analyze this wind chill effect in terms of money and sense. A room with a ceiling fan may feel six to eight degrees colder than it is (so an 40° room would feel like a 32° room). As a result, your air conditioner needs to work less now. Well done!
*How about the winter? Avoid the error of shutting off your fan. Rather than producing a cooling effect, turn it clockwise to force warm air downward and gently recirculate it. Congratulations! Your heating and cooling bills will go down.
